Functional Testing

Functional Pathology testing provides insight into physiological function within the body which is viewed as an indicator of health, in contrast to markers of disease.

Testing can investigate biochemical, metabolic, nutritional and hormonal status which allows a greater ability to identify causative factors before serious health conditions potentially become an issue, or for an explanation of previously unexplained conditions.

Depending on the test; blood, urine, faeces or saliva will be collected and comprehensive reports are provided, enabling an individualised and targeted treatment plan. This approach can dramatically reduce treatment times.

The below functional testing is available, if a test that you are interested in is not listed, please get in touch.

  • Complete Microbiome Mapping/ Comprehensive Stool Analysis (CDSA)

  • SIBO Breath Testing

  • Complete Hormonal Profiling

  • Food Intolerance/Allergy Testing including complement

DNA Profiling

Genetic/DNA testing has become more popular in recent times, however results are often provided with no explanation of  positive or negative implications. Certain polymorphisms may be present, directly impacting your susceptibility to conditions or various processes within your body or having little to no effect at all. It is important to work with someone that understands your results and the direct impact they may be having on you.

Available DNA profiling includes

  • Methylation (MTHFR) Profiling

  • Hormone and Fertility Profiling

  • Mood and Cognition Profiling

  • Detoxification Profiling

  • Nutrigenomics Profiling

  • Ancestry DNA/23 and Me interpretation

All testing incurs additional fees and can be discussed in detail during your consultation or via phone.  Please feel free to enquire if a test that you are interested in is not listed.
